Patrick from Indiana asked: Why does Delta Air Lines charge for checked baggage on domestic flights but not international?

Peter answered: It’s very easy answer to this question, Patrick. For Delta, the airlines that they compete with on international routes don’t charge for checked baggage. They’d lose the market if they did charge. Trust me, if they could charge you to check a bag they would in a heartbeat. But, until the international airlines change their policy, Delta has to conform to the industry standard.
