Todd from NYC asked: My wife and I will be in London for four nights starting January 10. The hotel websites are overwhelming with hundreds of hotels to choose from. We are looking for something under $300 that includes breakfast. We would also like to be walking distance away from Piccadilly and Buckingham Palace. Do you have any suggestions?

Peter replied: Yes, I have lots of suggestions! Throughout London, there are many Best Western and Holiday Inn Hotels that will cost you anywhere from ₤150 to ₤250 per night, which is within your budget. You won’t be spending much time in your hotel room so it doesn’t need to be too fancy. However, the international Best Western Hotels might surprise you; some properties are old chateaus, castles and estates. Remember that in London, as long as you’re within walking distance of public transportation, either the Tube or the bus, you’ll be fine.
