Hot air ballooning is fast growing as a travel experience in the U.S.––both on and off the ground.
In Colorado, Above It All Balloon Company flies in both Aspen and Snowmass. And the cool thing is that they fly year-round so you can view the ice and snow from above.
For a more hands on experience, Wine Country Balloons in Santa Rosa lets you participate in the process of inflating and deflating the balloon.
Not sure if you’re ready to go up in the air? Then each October watch from the ground when Albuquerque hosts the International Balloon Festival, with 10 full days of balloon launches, fireworks and festivities.
On those days, on 5:45 in the morning and the afternoon, you get lighted balloons. In the morning it’s the Dawn Patrol. And at 5:45PM there’s Balloon Glow, where you can walk among the balloons as they are grounded and lit up from within.
