Most hotels help their guests score reservations at hot restaurants or tickets to shows or events, but can they offer after-hours museum access? Art lovers tours are the latest must-have hotel amenities.
The Charleston Place Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina has an art lover’s package that offers guests a private tour of the Gibbes Museum. Guests visit on days when the museum’s collection is closed to the public and tour the Southern art museum with one of the curators.
The JW Marriott in Chicago has an Architecture Package that currently runs until the middle of November. In conjunction with the Frank Lloyd Wright foundation, architectural historian Jean L. Guariano takes guests on three-hour tour of Chicago’s most famous Frank Lloyd Wright sights. Guests visit the Oak Park suburb which boasts more Wright buildings than anywhere in the world.
The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas has its own fine art gallery, whose current exhibit features landscapes from Monet to Hockney. The hotel offers daily complimentary docent tours.
