With high gas prices and high unemployment, U.S. consumers are continuing to cut back on spending. Economizing means that consumers are looking for ways to stretch their travel budgets.
Traditionally, travel deals aren’t announced until the end of August, but the struggling economy has forced hotels and airlines to roll out travel incentives. In these economic times, remember that travel deals are as much about value as they are about rates. Now is the moment to ask hotels if they can add freebies and incentives to an already-published low rate.
