Travel Tips for a Happy Season of Vacations

Locations in this article:  Atlanta, GA

It seems like every time we turn on the news about the travel industry, it’s doom and gloom. And that may be with good reason, but how about some happier travel options?

Let’s start with flowers.

Wildflower season runs from March through June and the great thing is you can see them for free or on the cheap in national parks and forests.

The Web site DesertUSA.com reports on which wildflowers are blooming in Joshua Tree in California, Bryce Canyon in Utah, and dozens of other desert area parks.

Flowers not doing it for you? Then how about butterflies?

Just head to warm-weather places like the Bahia Honda State Park in Florida.

Or if you prefer to stay indoors, check out the Callaway Gardens near Atlanta, which has over 1,000 tropical butterflies.

OK, so even if flowers and butterflies aren’t your thing, remember, even in today’s difficult times, travel doesn’t have to equal stress.

Sometimes taking the time to see a few of your favorite things might make you feel just a little bit better about your world.
