Helpful Online Resources for Frequent Fliers

These days it’s not really easy to navigate the complicated web of frequent flier redemption and the rules. But there are some online tools to help make things just a little easier.

You may have heard of a Web site called Yapta.com which alerts travelers when airline prices have dropped.

Well it now has a new feature that tells you when a frequent flier seat may be available.

The service is free and the biggest benefit is that it’s in real time.

You just input your desired routes, and the site will find deals to match the number of miles you have. Then they’ll send you an alert.

For now the service is offered for flights on Alaska Airlines, Delta, United and US Airways.

Another useful site that’s been around for a while is MileMaven.com.

This site tells you how many miles you’ll log for a particular route so you can maximize your mileage.

And if you want to learn more about frequent flier programs in general, check out a site called WebFlyer.com.

This site reviews and ranks the programs and keeps you up-to-date on the latest changes in airline frequent-flier programs, which by the way, are many.
