Farm Work Vacations

Would you pay money to work on your vacation? You might, if it means getting hands-on experience on one of these real working farms.

At the Omaika’I “Lucky” Farm Bed & Breakfast in Hawaii, you can pick and eat all the macadamia nuts and tropical fruits you can find.

The century-old working farm welcomes guests starting at $70 per couple per night.

At Maverick Farms in North Carolina, vacationers pay $120 a night to stay in a 125-year-old farmhouse.

If that’s too steep of a price, you can knock off $7 for every hour that you assist on the farm.

For $115 per night, guests can feed a newborn calf at The Rocky Acre Farm Bed & Breakfast in Pennsylvania Dutch Country.

In Oregon, you can spend just $65 a night at the Leaping Lamb Farm Stay, and gather eggs that will end up on the breakfast table.
