Travel Tip: Luxury Camping a.k.a. “Glamping”

A stream in MontanaDo you like the idea of camping but don’t want to rough it? Now, there’s something called “glamping” which involves glamorous camping without all the hassle.

In Montana, the Resort at Paws Up is a 37,000-acre getaway where you can sleep in a canvas tent that’s equipped with electricity.

It costs about $595 a night for two people, but that includes all meals, and—get this—your very own camping butler!

In British Columbia, the Clayoquot Wilderness Resort is a steep $1,500 a night, but you’ll sleep in a tent with queen-sized beds and Persian rugs.

The price also includes transportation on a floatplane from Vancouver, a massage, guided activities, meals, and alcoholic beverages.

And on the more affordable end, Costanoa resort located just south of San Francisco, offers a heated tented bungalow for about $150 a night, and you can add on a massage at the spa for another $90.
