Eat Healthy on the Ski Slopes

If you’re tired of pizza, fries and the other greasy food options served at so many different ski resorts, finding healthier options has become much easier.

Ski resorts are now going healthier by partnering with organic food companies.

Vail Resorts now allows you to skip the super-sized fries in favor of locally grown, organic treats with its Good Food on a Grand Scale program.

The company now offers Colorado-bred chicken breast and hormone-free milk at its mountain restaurants at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and at Heavenly in Lake Tahoe.

Or visit Aspen Highlands in Colorado and you’ll find ZG Grill, which uses grass-fed beef and select items from local growers who avoid the use of herbicides and pesticides.

And in Telluride, try La Cocina de Luz, a restaurant that utilizes traditional cooking methods with organic and whole foods to create a healthier menu.
