Web Site of the Week: Run.com

Jogging DogIt can be hard to hit the pavement for some jogging in an unfamiliar city.

After all, not everyone stays at hotels with top-notch concierge services that might be able to help out their runner guests.

And just heading off on your own can lead to a host of problems, not least of which is getting completely lost.

But these days, as Johnny Jet points out, the Web can help you connect with others around the world and learn their favorite running paths.

Frequent travelers find one of the biggest challenges when traveling is staying in shape.

Some hotels don’t offer fitness centers and finding a gym when you’re on the road is not always easy or convenient.

Many travelers opt to run or walk; it’s not only great exercise, but it’s one of the best ways to explore a destination.

Run.com offers some of the best routes for runners worldwide and has plenty of running tips from joggers who’ve been there.

Still officially in Beta mode, hopefully they’ll soon make their search function a lot simpler by allowing visitors to just enter in a zip code.
