Peanuts & Planes, Health & Safety

Dear [PeterGreenberg.com],

I saw “Peanuts on Planes” about peanut allergies on your Web site and wanted to let you know about our situation.

My two year-old son Jacob and I will be traveling to Texarkana, Arkansas to visit my father who has Alzheimer’s disease. My son has a severe peanut allergy. He reacts (as do most people with peanut allergies) to peanuts if he ingests them, and also from airborne exposure. This is especially true in small places with recycled air such as airplanes. This reaction can range from a skin rash to anaphylactic shock.
